铜是在电线中充当电导体[3][4]发电输电配电电信电炉电子电路和无数类型的电气设备中都要用到铜线[5]。建筑物中的电线对铜工业来说是最重要的市场。[6]大约一半被开采的铜用于制造电线。[5]
