English: The Royal Navy during the Second World War
The torpedoed German destroyer Z 32 lying wrecked off the Brittany coast. She was damaged and driven ashore after a chase by the Canadian destroyer HMCS HAIDA. Later, when reconnaissance aircraft reported that she had a maintenance crew working on her and that her guns were manned, she was successfully attacked and torpedoed by British Motor Torpedo Boats of Light Coastal Forces, led by Lieutenant Tom Cartwright, DSC RNVR who dashed in under the enemy's coastal guns to finish her off.
